Nancy Muir is the co-author of Look Both Ways: Help Protect Your Family on the Internet. She has authored more than 50 books on technology topics, including Distance Learning for Dummies and The 10 Minute Guide to Motivating People. Muir has also written or contributed to reading comprehension and project management textbooks, in addition to books for middle-schoolers on topics ranging from career planning to character education. Muir has taught technical writing at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and holds a certificate in distance learning design from the University of Washington.
 
Earl Boysen holds a Masters Degree in Engineering Physics from The University of Virginia. He worked in the computer industry for 20 years dealing with semiconductor technology. Earl currently substitute teaches in Jefferson County, Washington, and tutors students in math and science topics. He has been associated with Linda Criddle and Nancy Muir in their work on Internet safety over the last two years. Earl is also the co-author of several books, including Nanotechnology For Dummies and Electronics For Dummies. He runs two successful educational resource Web sites on nanotechnology and electronics topics. Recently the Executive Director of the National Science Teachers Association cited his site, UnderstandingNano.com, in testimony before Congress as a "rich learning experience[s] for students on nanotechnology."
