In 2007 Washington State produced and delivered the Nations very first Military Kids and Families Summit. On March 4, 2011, we are hosting the fourth annual summit which will reach out not only to our military families but to educators, community leaders and anyone who wants to learn more about understanding and supporting military kids. Washington State Military Kids and Families Summit will feature workshops on deployment, transition, reunion, and related issues. There will be resources and exhibits, dynamic speakers, as well as, networking and outreach opportunities. Please join us in celebrating this nationally recognized program. You don't want to miss the 4th Annual Military Kids and Families Summit.

We are a coalition of organizations that have come together with our various skills and resources in support of military kids and their families in Washington State. The organizations include: a variety of state and local organizations including the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, US Department of Education Region X, Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs, US Department of Defense Regional Liaisons Office, Madigan Army Medical Center, Washington National Guard, US Army Reserve, Navy Region NW, TriWest Healthcare Alliance, Washington State University, Valley Cities, King County Department of Community and Human Services/Veterans Citizen Levy Oversight Board, and many others.
